About BiteWise Nutrition & Wellness

Hi, I'm Cintia, a Registered Dietitian and certified Yoga Instructor.

I started BiteWise Nutrition & Wellness as I am passionate about helping people to feel more confident and connected to food and their bodies—without restriction, shame, or confusion.

I became a dietitian because I wanted to challenge the one-size-fits-all approach to health and empower people—especially women and communities of color—to take up space in wellness. I’m also a certified yoga teacher and often blend mindfulness and movement into my sessions when helpful.

Building my private practice has been a dream rooted in connection, culture, and care. I'm so glad you're here, and I can’t wait to work together!

Our Approach

I take a personalized, culturally inclusive approach to nutrition—meeting clients where they are, without judgment.

My style is warm, supportive, and grounded in science. I focus on small, sustainable changes that empower clients to feel confident in their food choices and build a healthier relationship with food, one bite at a time.

Background

I earned both my Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Nutrition Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed a dietetic internship with a focus on medical nutrition therapy and community health. I’m also a 200-hour certified yoga teacher.

Outside of work, you can find me cooking traditional Latin meals with a nourishing twist, teaching yoga, exploring new farmers markets, or spending time with my family and pets. I also love mentoring future RDs and creating bilingual resources that make nutrition more accessible for all.
